Wuhan project to pass the HQE™ pre-assesment at Design stage

After 18 hours of evaluation with the HQE Auditor Frédéric Leconte, our TERAO Asia team assisted the projects of Space Museum and Exhibition hall in the Wuhan Caidian Sino-French Eco-City to pass the HQE Design stage pre-certification.

HQE (Haute Qualité Environnementale – High Environmental Quality) is a French-origin International green building standard.  It is intended for projects under construction, renovation or in operation, whether residential or not, as well as urban planning and infrastructures operations

Great energy savings thanks to HQE requirements

To comply with HQE standards, TERAO has worked hand in hand with the developer (SUNAC) and the designers to fine-tune the project optimizations path in terms of energy, environment, health and comfort.

For example, compared to conventional buildings, the space museum will use 30% less energy and the exhibition hall will be 40% more energy-efficient. They will also adopt water savings strategy, as well as rainwater management, according to the “Sponge city” requirements.

TERAO is proud to have participated in the successful HQE pre-assessment for Design phase of these two projects of SUNAC. We are looking forward to assisting in the implementation of this sustainable HQE design in the construction phase.
