TERAO entrusted by the PEEB to advise Djibouti on Energy Efficiency in Buildings

In March 2019, TERAO was commissioned by the French Development Agency (AFD) to conduct an energy orientation council on the public buildings of the Republic of Djibouti and to carry out a detailed audit of a building that will serve as a pilot project.

PEEB, Programme for Energy Efficiency in Buildings, facilitates and mobilizes technical cooperation between countries to guide new or renovation building projects in emerging and developing countries towards greater energy efficiency!

In this context, PEEB acts at different scales:

  • at the country level, to help the country implement thermal regulation and apply it;
  • at the project level, by suggesting new resources dedicated to building professionals committed to designing and building more energy efficient assets.

Today TERAO has advanced international expertise in modelling and sizing the energy needs of buildings, enabling it to contribute globally to the sustainable development of the building sector. For example, TERAO has already experience in large scale rehabilitation of buildings in China, as shown in the pilot project for Wuhan retrofit of 25 buildings.

If you need more information on the sustainable rehabilitation of buildings, please contact us at nieong@teraochina.cn. TERAO team will be happy to help you optimize the renovation or retrofitting of existing buildings, through the PEEB program if needed.
