Q1: What is your role in TERAO and since when?
Arnaud:
I joined TERAO as China Managing Director in May 2023, my role is to lead and supervise the activities of the branch locally and abroad. Based in China for more than 10 years, my previous experience encompasses sustainable building projects from feasibility study to commissioning, as well as company set-up, development and operation.
Q2: What do you like in your role at TERAO?
Arnaud:
Working in an SME environment is exciting; you deal with the challenging intricacies of a broad range of topics, from commercial development to operational delivery, through human resources and financial management, etc., and you have the ability to implement change and see quick results. Team cohesion, reactivity and engagement enable the company to be a breeding ground for success and achievement.
Q3: Why did you choose to work at TERAO?
Arnaud:
I had the opportunity to collaborate with TERAO on several projects before joining the company, and I always admired the dedication of the team to deliver a positive and lasting impact in the fight against environmental degradation and climate change, which is determining in the way I see how my personal work contribution should fit in society. I was particularly attracted by TERAO being at the forefront of the emerging circular economy paradigm in the built environment, resource conservation being an outcome I cherish.
Q4: What is one of your values that is in line with TERAO Values (transparency/commitment/thinking ahead), and why is it a value for you?
Arnaud:
While all three TERAO values are truly important to me on a personal level and connect well with what I believe companies should stand for, I will focus here on “Thinking Ahead”. In a rapidly and tremendously evolving world, anticipation is key to thoroughly assessing the impact of one’s action (or inaction!). As individuals and corporations, we should strive to be prepared to handle future challenges, build resilience and find solutions outside of the box; and the team at TERAO’s perfectly cultivates this mindset.
Q5: What is one of your hobbies outside of work?
Arnaud:
I practice swimming on a regular basis, and I love traveling to discover natural landscapes. I also enjoy reading and, above all, being a kid again with my daughter.
