Meet the team – Yiyi Luo, Project Engineer at TERAO Asia

Today you will learn more about Yiyi, one of our Project Engineers, who has an Architect and Engineer background and whose inquiring mind makes her the fastest learner of our team.

Q1: What is your role in TERAO and since when?

YL: I have been project engineer in TERAO since October 2019.

Q2: What do you like in your role at TERAO?

YL: As a starter, my job is to do research in green building strategies and assist project managers in various projects. That helps me accumulating the know-how I need in the frontlines.

Q3: Why did you choose to work at TERAO?

YL: TERAO is one of the leaders in promoting sustainable building in China. They have done a vast number of projects all over the world. They have an international vision and the local experience which is second to none.

In addition, TERAO Asia team is a very nice family, we are small but everyone is multidisciplinary and we help each other in all situations.

Q4: What is one of your values that is in line with TERAO Value, and why is it a value for you?

YL: “Keep learning” as another way of consistency, one of the values of TERAO.

Learn from the others, learn from everything. A company cannot survive in a competitive and fast-changing world if they just recycle old experience. We have to stay foolish and sensitive to new things.

That’s why I like TERAO. We organize frequently the internal learning & sharing session. Everyone has an opportunity to share latest tech, innovate project case they learned. It’s a good way to keep everybody in a fresh mind.

Q5: What is one of your hobbies outside of work?

YL: Badminton and paintings. Both dynamics and statics. I also really enjoy watching movies, especially thrillers. One of my favorite movies is “The Dark Knight” by Christopher Nolan. I have also a special calendar which introduces 1 movie each day.

Q6: Favorite quote / motto?

“Stay true to yourself”
