Monitoring indoor air quality to enhance well-being and productivity of building occupants

In China, air pollution is a major concern of everyday life. The country is taking many initiatives to fight pollution and improve the outdoor air quality. While these measures are the start of a long-term effort to improve the air quality, focusing on indoor air quality has to be done at the same time. In fact, in a country where cities are expanding at an incredible speed and where people are spending more time indoors, it is becoming a priority for engineers as well as building owners to ensure high-quality air level inside buildings.

TERAO Asia is leading businesses and organisations to design, construct and manage buildings economically while satisfying the indoor air quality needs of building occupants. By focusing on the WELL Building Standard, TERAO Asia emphasizes its commitment to place people’s health and wellness at the heart of building design.

By focusing on RESET™ Air 2.0 – a unique and international standard focusing mainly on indoor air quality and on the environmental health of occupants – TERAO aims to reach high-level results in the improvement of the air quality inside buildings.

Ms. SONG Dan and Ms. WANG Xueting from TERAO Asia team both passed the WELL AP examination this year. Mr. Baptiste GRECO from our team passed the RESET AP examination.

With 2 WELL AP engineers and 1 RESET AP within its team, TERAO Asia is combining both Green Building & Well-Being in its scope of expertise. It highlights the capabilities of TERAO:

  • To integrate BOTH Energy Efficiency & Well-Being on one project
  • To work on MULTI-CERTIFICATION for one project
  • To work BEYOND the scope of International Certification and integrate EXTRA INDEPENDENT CRITERIA.

A better understanding of how buildings impact people should drive improvements in the workplace and have a significant positive environmental and financial impact on businesses and organizations. A good and long-term analysis of data related to the air quality inside a building can help implementing immediate improvement strategies to reduce costs, by improving the well-being of building occupants which will in return, as a virtuous circle, increase productivity.
