Q1: What is your role in TERAO and since when?

Andrea:

I have been working at TERAO as a Project Engineer since August 2023. My main role involves conducting feasibility studies, including PV and daylighting studies, as well as other low-carbon studies. I handle tasks related to energy efficiency, such as performing energy audits and energy management work. In addition, I am also responsible for energy modeling work to support green certificate submissions.

Q2: What do you like in your role at TERAO?

Andrea:

I’ve had the chance to work on a wide range of projects related to sustainable building, which has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve been exposed to advanced energy-efficient technologies and have become familiar with the requirements for various green certifications, applying them to different projects. Each project brings something new, and I’m excited about the opportunities to keep growing and expanding my expertise in the field.

Q3: Why did you choose to work at TERAO?

Andrea:

Sustainable building is a field I’ve always wanted to pursue, and TERAO’s project types and commitment really stood out to me. Here, I can contribute to projects that not only advance my skills but also make a meaningful difference in sustainable development. This combination of personal fulfillment and career growth made TERAO the ideal choice for me.

Q4: What is your favorite project and what have you done in that project?

Andrea:

One of my favorite projects was energy management assistance for a cookware manufacturing factory. This project involved creating a management structure based on an on-site verified energy metering plan, which allowed for monitoring energy consumption across different production lines. Key tasks included data cleaning and quality control to ensure accurate and reliable information. With the collected historical energy data, a baseline model was established to analyze energy usage and visualize the effectiveness of implemented energy-saving measures.

Q5: What is one of your hobbies outside of work?

Andrea:

I enjoy hiking outside of work. It’s my way of unwinding and taking a break from the busy pace of city life. On the trail, I can clear my mind and just focus on the rhythm of my steps and the views of nature. It helps me recharge and maintain a healthy balance between work and relaxation.

Q6: Favorite quote/motto?

Andrea:

The world’s mine oyster, which I with sword will open.
