Today you will learn more about Thomas, our project engineer from France, who has studied Building energy engineering at INSA of Toulouse, South of France and is now working in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. Have a good read!

Q1: What is your role in TERAO and since when?
Thomas: I joined TERAO in February 2018 after I graduated from a French engineering school (INSA Toulouse). I work as a project engineer in TERAO. I mostly work on subjects related to energy efficiency in building and green building certifications.
Q2: What do you like in your role at TERAO?
Thomas: I like to think that what I do as a job has a good impact on the environment, so I always try to find the best solution according to environmental protection and sustainable development. I also believe that in the near future, these topics will become more essential.
As a project engineer, I have the chance to work on very complex energy modeling and HVAC systems. It is often quite a challenge but now thanks to that I have more knowledge and skills in this field.
Moreover, it is nice to work with people that have the same values which helps to create friendly connections.
Q3: Why did you choose to work at TERAO?
Thomas: I have always been interested in topics related to energy efficiency and bioclimatism and at TERAO I know that I can always find people with a lot of background and experience on these topics.
Also, TERAO activities are spread globally and thanks to that I worked on projects located in different countries like Ethiopia, Turkey and now Vietnam! Working in a new climate is a challenge and an opportunity to relearn everything.
Q4: What is one of your values that is in line with TERAO Values (transparency/commitment/anticipation), and why is it a value for you?
Thomas: I feel aligned with TERAO value of commitment because the success of each project is something that really matters to me.
Q5: What is one of your hobbies outside of work?
Thomas: Classical guitar and chess for both the artistic and the intellectual side. I am also a big fan of progressive rock and I like collecting vinyls of this musical genre.
Q6: Favorite quote/motto?
