It is a pleasure to announce one of our new projects: Sustainability assistance for Radici’s new plant in Suzhou including LEED and GBDL certifications. This is a greenfield project of about 17,000 sqm, including a workshop, warehouse and office area.
During the preliminary design stage, we conducted a Sustainability feasibility study which included studying energy efficiency strategies, some specific comfort topics for the workshop area and helping the customer establish a LEED and GBL (China Green Building Label) scorecard and conduct a related feasibility study. In this analysis, TERAO explained what were the required technical and financial efforts to implement Sustainability strategies on the project and reach the targeted certification levels: LEED Gold and GBDL 2 stars.
Besides the energy efficiency strategies (HVAC, lighting…), strategies such as rainwater management and solar PV have been introduced as the conditions of the site and the factory were favorable.

Following Radici’s decision to achieve a highly sustainable project, TERAO team has been carrying out the Sustainability Assistance and the LEED and GBDL consultancy missions.

TERAO team will enhance the sustainability of the factory and warehouse buildings and the office part, through specific technical studies such as Energy modeling, Thermal comfort analysis, Solar PV feasibility, etc.
Overall, these strategies will greatly reduce the factory energy, water and carbon footprint.
