- By applying ASHRAE Energy Audit Level 2 methodology, the energy efficiency recommendations lead to a total energy reduction of 27% (2,243 MWh/year) with an overall Payback period of 4 years.
- Guest rooms typically represent around 50% of total hotel energy consumption, mainly due to HVAC and lighting. Often, energy is wasted in unoccupied rooms because systems remain fully powered.
- Due to limited grid electricity in Myanmar, the hotel frequently operates diesel generators to ensure an energy supply. These generators dissipate a large portion of energy waste heat through their exhaust and cooling systems.
